Paint has been a medium used by designers and artists, influencing and inspiring them since the 16th century.

There are existing pieces of painted furniture that date back to 16th century Italy and 17th century Pennsylvania and Vermont. Farmhouses to Manor houses were painted by artists who traveled the country sides offering their talents in exchange for board & lodging.

Today most retail, painted furniture is factory finished with limited choices for color or style.

If you are inclined to make a more individual statement in your home or kids room, please reach me through the contacts page of the site. Together we can transform a treasured attic or yard sale find you've been saving or find a new color for a more modern piece.

Common Questions:

1) How do I know if what I have can be painted?
If the factory has not sealed a piece with multiple layers of a hard, glossy finish then the piece can most likely be easily sanded and redone.

2) What is the process once I decide to inquire?
An appointment is made to assess and quote the piece and a written estimate is given based on the ownerĂs requests and choice for design and finish.

3) What is the cost?
Cost is dependent on the design, labor and materials that go into the job. Labor is a fixed, hourly price of $35.00/hr. A written estimate and the appointment is $25.00, which can be applied against the final cost.
