About Farm Hill Furniture
-
Growing up in Massachusetts it was common to have friends, neighbors or cousins living in turn-of–the century homes with shuttered windows, wrap around porches and lots of character. Inside, the tables, chairs, bed frames or dressers were often vintage, handmade and possibly painted…many times over.
I picked up the vintage and painted furniture bug when I moved to the West Coast and was struck by the great outdoor markets and what they held. It was Massachusetts all over again, mixed with Vermont, The Carolina’s and upstate New York; solid, handmade furniture, with great lines and elements that would be costly to reproduce, today.
Farmhill Furniture is committed to rescuing and reviving vintage pieces whose current outward appearance is un-deserving and lacking; combining the appreciation and knowledge of vintage furniture, with an artist’s eye for paint-as applied to furniture. Every piece is given great attention and consideration in preparation for color and design, with the desire and intention of extenting the life and service already given.
